Margaret Kimiye (Hiranaka) Okitsu Margaret Kimiye (Hiranaka) Okitsu of Renton died June 16, 2010. She was 94 years old.She was born on October 18, 1915 in Kent. She had been a resident of the Kent/Renton area all of her life. She married John K. Okitsu in 1941 and had been happily married for 57 years. She was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and the White River Chapter of the Japanese American Citizen’s League. She worked on the family farms and in greenhouses, while enjoying her family life, hobbies and travel. She was an excellent cook and seamstress. She is survived by a son, Ronald Okitsu of San Diego; a daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Walt Morrison of Kent; two brothers, Robert Hiranaka of Kent and Dan Hiranaka of Renton; one sister, Betty Hirano of Seattle; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Margie will be greatly missed by her family and friends.A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm on June 26, 2010 at St James Episcopal Church in Kent.
