MARYJO ANNE HEACOX

Maryjo Anne Heacox, age 84, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2019, at her home in Kent, after a long battle with dementia. She was born February 24, 1935 in Wenatchee WA. Maryjo was preceded in death by her husband Donald Eugene Heacox and grandson Jeremy. She is survived by her sons, Bill (Nancy), Tim (Pam), and Glenn (Tina); granddaughters, Anna and Marlene, and many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Maryjo worked for the Kent school district for over 30 years as a librarian and then elementary school secretary at several schools. She was always an asset for her principal.

She was a loving and proud mother who treasured family and was known to attend every one of her sons sporting events. Maryjo was a matriarch who kept the extended family connected. She was extremely generous to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Maryjo loved to travel and had a deep appreciation for nature. She spent many a night in her camper and was an avid birder with the Audubon Society.

Maryjo was a special person in many ways. We admired her strength of character and enthusiasm. She was known to have a sharp eye and a ready laugh. Her memory will continue to touch people with her love, wisdom and smile.

Family and friends will be invited to a celebration of her life on her birthday.
