Melvin Jeffery Knott
July 23, 1939- November 16, 2025
It is with deep love and sadness that we share the passing of Melvin Jeffery Knott, age 86, who left this world after a life filled with devotion, laughter, and family on Sunday November 16th, 2025.
Melvin was the beloved husband of Rosezetta Knott, with whom he shared 67 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a family rooted in love, raising three children — Ken & Dawnelle Knott, Kathy Knott, and David & Kim Knott — and watching their family grow to include grandchildren Janice & Brian McCarty, Mackenzie Knott, Shawn Moynihan, Matthew & Matiese Ellinson, Mattie and Jon Branham, and two great-granddaughters Ellie and Juniper Branham. His family was always his greatest joy and his proudest accomplishment.
A man deeply committed to his community, Melvin was a proud 70-year member of the East Hill Grange, where he dedicated countless hours to service and fellowship. He also loved traveling with the camper club, creating cherished memories on the road with Rosezetta and their family. Whether at home or on the road, Melvin’s heart was always with his loved ones.
He will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, his dedication to family, and the way he lived each day with gratitude and generosity. His legacy lives on in the love he gave and the example he set.

A Public Viewing will be held on November 25th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at Marlatt Funeral Home & Crematory in Kent, WA. Address: 713 Central Ave N. Kent, WA 98032
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 14, 2026 at 1 pm.
