Phyllis Jeanette Higgins passed away on August 5, 2018 in Kent, WA. She was born in Middle River, MN on January 28, 1923. She was 95 years old.
The daughter of Grandville and Alleyne Stephens. She married Howard Michael Higgins (deceased) in Wapato, WA on January 6, 1942. She was the beloved mother of 6 children.
She worked as an expediter at Boeing for 25 years, then retired and opened a family daycare business for 29 years. She touched many lives, near and dear to her heart was mostly her family, which she cherished. She was Catholic and attended church regularly.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, Grandville and Alleyne Stephens, her husband, Howard Michael Higgins, sister, Betty Stephens, brother Clyde Stephens, daughter, Jacqueline Mattheis, daughter, Kathleen Faye, Malek, son, Howard Michael, Higgins Jr. She is survived by her brother Larry Stephens, her children, Elizabeth Christman, Gloria Higgins, and Stephen Higgins. She had 23 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 32 great-great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-great grandchild.
Funeral Services were held August 17th at 1:00pm at Powers Funeral Home – 320 W. Pioneer Avenue, Puyallup, WA 98371.
