Few athletic programs in the state have as much of it as the Kentlake High fastpitch team. Since the school opened in 1997, the Falcons have advanced to the state tournament nine times and either won or challenged for the South Puget Sound League North Division title in nearly each of those seasons.
The time is now for the Kentridge High fastpitch team.
The Chargers enter the season with a senior-dominated bunch plenty capable of making some noise in the wide open South Puget Sound League North Division.

Kent natives Courtney Vandersloot and Lindsey Moore have enjoyed their share of success on the women’s basketball court this season. Vandersloot, a 2007 Kentwood High graduate who now plays at Gonzaga, led the Bulldogs to a 72-71 upset victory over Texas A& M on Monday night in a second-round NCAA tournament game.

They know the season rides on their shoulders.
As always, Kentlake High’s interchangeable pitching aces Zach Wright and Doug Christie remain unflappable, calm as ever with the road that lies ahead. The Falcon flamethrowers don’t have time these days for panic. Never have. Never will.
The numbers are in.
And for the Kentridge High baseball team, those numbers are looking pretty good this spring. In a league loaded with talent from top to bottom, no team returns as many all-league players as the Chargers.
As such, reason for excitement – and a reason to believe a return to the postseason is imminent – remains legitimate.
