Friday is City of Kent Night at the Seattle Thunderbirds game. City of Kent residents can get a ticket discount by putting in the special promo code of “kent” when purchasing tickets to the game online at the T-Birds Web site, www.seattlethunderbirds.com. Kent Mayor Suzette Cooke will drop the ceremonial first puck at the game against the Tri-City Americans, which starts at 7:35 p.m. at ShoWare Center.
Seattle Thunderbirds goalie Calvin Pickard stopped all 57 shots he saw Friday night to lead the Thunderbirds to a 1-0 victory over the Tri-City Americans at ShoWare Center in Kent.

Seattle Thunderbirds general manager Russ Farwell announced this week the team has acquired center Stefan Burzan and a third round pick in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft from the Saskatoon Blades for Jeremy Boyer.
Burzan appeared in two preseason games with the Blades this year and had one point, on an assist, with no penalty minutes.
