• Sport: Basketball.

• Accomplishment: Smith erupted for 23 points last week against Jefferson, leading the Falcons to an 82-70 South Puget Sound League North Division win over the Raiders.

• Favorite class: Sports Medicine.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: Shaquille O’Neal. I would serve fried chicken and Kool-Aid.

• Greatest athletic moment: Making the last-second shot against Kent-Meridian last year at the ShoWare Center.

• Most recent book read/author: SLAM Magazine.

• What’s on your iPod?: Wiz Khalifa.

RUBEN NAVEJAS

Kentwood

• Grade:Junior.

• Sport: Wrestling.

• Accomplishment: Navejas ripped his way to the 112-pound title at the Battle of the Border this past weekend. Navejas worked three pins and worked over Ren Bishop of Squalicum to the tune of a 12-1 major decision in the championship match.

• Favorite class: English.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: Teammates Hayden Peterson, Teddy Zografos, Matt Gordon and Nathan Herrick. I would serve tacos from Jack in the Box.

• Favorite Movie: District 9.

• Most recent book read/author: “The Road” by Cormac McCarthy.

• What’s on your iPod?: “Going back to Cali” by Notorious B.I.G.

• Also noted: Navejas won a freestlyle national championship this past summer and is ranked second in the nation in the 103-pound weight class.

CRAIG RASMUSSEN

Kentridge

• Grade: Senior.

• Sport: Basketball.

• Accomplishment: Rasmussen caught fire last week against Auburn, serving up five 3-pointers and scoring a total of 18 points, leading the Chargers past the Trojans 65-56 in a South Puget Sound League North Division game.

• Favorite class: English.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite my whole Kentridge basketball team and coaches. We’d serve Dylan Zylstra’s mom’s chicken fettucini alfredo.

• Greatest athletic moment: Hitting five 3-pointers to upset Auburn in the second game of the year.

• Most recent book read/author: “The Stranger” by Albert Camus.

• What’s on your iPod?: “No Ceilings Mixtape” by Lil’ Wayne.

• Also noted: Rasmussen also is a standout on the baseball diamond, where he was a second-team all-selection outfielder last season.

NICK LEMMON

Kent-Meridian

• Grade: Senior.

• Sport: Wrestling.

• Accomplishment: Lemmon won four-straight matches during last week’s Panther Classic, culminating with a 15-6 major decision over Dylan Aparis of Decatur to capture the 160-pound title.

• Favorite class: IB Biology.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite all of the coaches I’ve had throughout my high school career and they could eat whatever they wanted no matter the price because everything they have taught me is priceless. And my mom because she is amazing.

• Greatest athletic moment: Beating ranked wrestlers.

• Most recent book read/author: “The Client” by John Grisham.

• What’s on your iPod?: Modest Mouse or Kings of Leon.

D’JUAN MILLER

Kent-Meridian

• Grade: Junior.

• Sport: Basketball.

• Accomplishment: Miller led four Royals in double-figures scoring, pouring in 17 points to help Kent-Meridian upend Jefferson 73-65 in a South Puget Sound League North Division game.

• Favorite class: Science.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite (Boston Celtics point guard) Rajon Rondo so he could teach me some moves. I would serve him chicken because that is all I like.

• Greatest athletic moment: Scoring 17 points in the win over TJ.

• Most recent book read/author: “Chain of Fire” by Beverly Naidoo.

• What’s on your iPod?: Jay Z and Michael Jackson.
