Senior night comeback win, Hazen beat Kentlake 2-1 | Photo Gallery

The following information was provided by a release from Hazen girls soccer:

After a scoreless first half and then some, Hazen soccer and Kentlake got down to business with about 20 minutes left in the second.

The Highlanders hosted the Falcons Oct. 18 in Hazen’s final home game of the 2018-2019 season.

A loud senior night crowd saw Kentlake get on the scoreboard first at the 20 minute mark of the second before Hazen put two goals away to earn the 2-1 victory.

Seniors Nia Johnson and Madison Kem scored from assists by sophomore Madison Kingett.

Women of the Match were seniors Anna Browne, Johnson, Meagan Kelly, Kem and Madison Taylor.

The Highlanders (6-5-2, 7-5-3) finish regular season play with a 6 p.m. away game Tuesday, Oct. 23 against Kennedy Catholic. The game will be played at Starfire Sports in Tukwila.

Kentlake (3-8-2, 3-10-2) will play its final regular season game against district opponent Kent-Meridian (0-13-0, 0-13-0). The game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at French Field with Kentlake listed as the away team.
