T-Birds announce new radio partners for the season

The T-Birds will have 20 regular season games broadcast on 710 ESPN during the season. Select playoff games will also be broadcast on 710 ESPN. In addition, all T-Birds regular season and playoff games will be streamed live on www.mynorthwest.com

Seattle Thunderbirds General Manager Russ Farwell on Aug. 26 announced the team has two new radio partners for the 2010-11 season.

The T-Birds will have 20 regular season games broadcast on 710 ESPN during the season. Select playoff games will also be broadcast on 710 ESPN.

In addition, all T-Birds regular season and playoff games will be streamed live on www.mynorthwest.com.

The first broadcast on 710 ESPN will be the season opening game against the Everett Silvertips at Comcast Arena in Everett. The broadcast of the home opener will commence at the end of the Seattle Mariners broadcast. The Mariners are in Tampa Bay on September 24.

The 52 games not broadcast on 710 ESPN will be broadcasted on 1150 KKNW AM. The T-Birds are pleased to return to the Sandusky Radio Group and KKNW 1150 AM. WARM 106.9 FM, a part of the Sandusky Group, is the T-Birds annual partner for the T-Birds Teddy Bear Toss game to benefit the WARM Teddy Bear Patrol.

All games will be streamed live over the Internet on MyNorthwest.com. MyNorthwest.com is the web portal for the Bonneville Broadcast Group, which owns 710 ESPN.

The T-Birds’ only home preseason game of an eight-game exhibition schedule is Saturday, Sept. 18, against the Portland Winterhawks at ShoWare Center at 7:05 p.m.

The T-Birds will open the regular season against the Everett Silvertips on Friday, September 24 at Comcast Arena in Everett at 7:35pm. The T-Birds will hold their home opener on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 7:05p.m. against long time rival, the Portland Winterhawks.

Seattle Thunderbirds legend Glen Goodall will be welcomed back to Seattle at the T-Birds home opener Sept. 25. Glen and his family will be in attendance and the T-Birds have several events planned to recognize Glen and his contributions to T-Birds hockey.

At the home opener the T-Birds will have a pre-game Party on the Plaza at ShoWare Center that will feature food, music and a beer garden prior to the home opener. The T-Birds will also be handing out T-Bird train whistles to the first 6,000 fans as well as 2010-11 Magnetic Season Schedules presented by Sterling Savings to all fans.

The T-Birds have several ticket package options for fans to choose from to be able to enjoy all the promotional nights.

The 24-Flex Pack, which is available all season, is $468 and the tickets can be used in any combination at any game.

The Pick 10 Package is $175 and fans can pick the 10 games they would like to attend during the 2010-11 season. Tickets for this package are limited to Section 107 in ShoWare Center.

The team also has full season ticket packages for $558 and a Pick 18 Package for $333.

All four T-Birds season ticket options are currently on sale. They can be purchased by calling the T-Birds office at 253-239-PUCK.
