Thunderbirds, Silvertips to square off in second round | WHL playoffs

The Seattle Thunderbirds will face the Everett Silvertips in the second round of the Western Hockey League playoffs.

The Silvertips defeated the Victoria Royals 3-2 in five overtimes Sunday night in Victoria, British Columbia, to win their best-of-seven, first-round series 4-2.

Game 1 of the second-round series is 7:35 p.m. Friday at Xfinity Arena in Everett. Game 2 of the series is 7:05 p.m. Saturday in Everett.

The T-Birds host Game 3 at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, at the ShoWare Center. Game 4 is 7:05 p.m. Friday, April 14, at ShoWare.

Single-game tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the ShoWare Center box office and online at the T-Birds website. The ShoWare Center Box Office is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Group ticket specials

For the Director’s Mortgage 2-for-Tuesday Game 3, T-Bird fans that purchase 20 tickets at $15 each, which is $300, will receive an additional two free tickets plus $10 worth of Chuck-A-Pucks.

Fans can also get 40 tickets at $11 each for $440 for Game 3 and receive an additional two free tickets plus $10 worth of Chuck-A-Pucks.

For Game 4, fans can purchase 10 tickets at $22 each for $220 and get an additional two free tickets plus $10 worth of Chuck-A-Pucks.

The ticket specials for Games 3 and 4 are available by contacting the T-Birds at 253-239-PUCK (7825). The specials are not available on game day.
