Soroptimists plan Women’s Day luncheon

In association with International Women’s Day, which took place March 8, Soroptimist International of Kent will have its annual awards luncheon March 23 at the Golden Steer Steak ‘N Rib House. The event runs 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

At the event, SI Kent will honor women who are returning to school to build job skills and knowledge, as well as girls volunteering their time to improve the lives of others.

The club will give out several honors at the luncheon: the Women’s Opportunity Award and the Violet Richardson Award; as well as recognizing two volunteers of the month.

The Golden Steer is located at 23826 104th Ave S.E. on Kent’s East Hill.
