Watch ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ outdoors Aug. 13 in Kent

Grab a chair and go watch “Raiders of the Lost Ark” 9 p.m. Aug. 13 as part of the city of Kent’s summer movie series at Town Square Plaza, Second Avenue and Harrison Street downtown.

Harrison Ford stars as Indiana Jones in “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” a 1981 film and first in a series of adventure movies featuring Ford as the swashbuckling archeologist Jones.

Movie goers must bring their own chairs to set up at the plaza. No seats will be provided. There is a small grass area where people can spread blankets. The movies go on rain or shine.

The free outdoor movie is part of the second annual Summer Nights and the Silver Screen series at the park. Movie goers watched “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” on Aug. 6.

The series concludes at 9 p.m. Aug. 20 with a showing of “Cars.”
