Darlene Marie McConnell, 67, died March 8, 2011, in Kent, WA. She loved traveling, outdoor activities, fishing with her husband, her flower gardens, and especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband John R. McConnell Jr.; children Jennifer (Patrick) Cox, Jona (William) Kirsch, sister Sharon (Lee) Parr, and her five grandchildren. Memorial service was held on March 17, 2011, at Zion Lutheran Church in Kent. Remembrances may be made in her name to the National Park Foundation (www.nationalparks.org) or Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (www.fhcrc.org).
