More frequent food and yard waste pickup needed | Letter

I applaud city of Kent’s new food/yard waste system.  However an every other week pickup isn’t going to work.

We started on April 1. It’s now April 8 and my garage smells like a garbage dump!  I think when I put the receptacle out for pickup (I have to wait another four days), it’s going to attract every critter in the neighborhood.

And I can’t believe I’m the only one with the problem.

I’ve e-mailed a couple of concerns to Allied Waste over the last three weeks, but have never received any response, so I’m trying the Kent Reporter.
