‘The X Factor’ plans auditions April 20

Kent’s Stefano Langone proved how a local can make a national show as a finalist on “American Idol.”

Now other Kent musicians can have their chance to try out for “The X Factor,” Simon Cowell’s new prime-time Fox show that starts this fall.

Solo singers, vocal groups and anyone over the age of 12 can participate in auditions April 20 at KeyArena in Seattle. Registration is April 19.

Auditions also are scheduled for Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, Newark and Dallas.
