Volunteer ESL tutors needed in Kent

Published 9:40 am Thursday, August 16, 2012

Want to make a critical difference in someone’s life? Help international adults learn to speak, read, and write English. Kent area volunteer tutors are urgently needed to teach English as a Second Language (ESL).

All instruction is in English; you do not need to know a second language. Instruction times and locations are flexible. No former experience with teaching or tutoring is needed. Multi-Service Center provides training that gives you hands-on strategies to involve students in the English learning process. Tutoring assignments last for a minimum of six months for 1.5 hours, two times per week. Your help gives students the communication skills they need to become successful parents, productive workers, and responsible citizens.
