The second round of player tryouts for the Seattle Impact FC and dance auditions for the Ladies with Impact shattered expectations, team officials said.

More than 50 players participated last weekend at the ShoWare Center. The hopefuls participated in six-on-six scrimmages that varied in length.

In addition to the tryouts, signed players Gordy Gurson, Jeff Bader, Francisco Cisneros and Dion Earl participated in the mini-games.

Impact FC will play all 10 home games at the ShoWare Center, beginning with a Nov. 8 date with the 14-time indoor champion San Diego Sockers.

Seattle is the newest member of the 23-team Major Arena Soccer League (MASL), the indoor game’s top-tier division throughout North America. Seattle officially joined the MASL on July 8, with Earl, Bellevue native and former Sounders and SeaDogs player as owner and CEO.

Meanwhile, the dance auditions for the Ladies with Impact saw more than 20 dancers, with 11 being selected to the team.
