Tacoma Stars lose indoor soccer debut at ShoWare Center

The San Diego Sockers defeated the Tacoma Stars 8-3 on Friday night in a Major Arena Soccer League game at the ShoWare Center in Kent.
The game marked the debut of the Stars as the replacement team in the league for the Seattle Impact FC. The game drew 885 fans.
Tacoma is 3-11 in the MASL as the team assumes the record of the Impact. The Stars return to the ShoWare Center against the Las Vegas Legends on Sunday, Jan. 25.
Lane Smith, owner for the Tacoma Stars, purchased the rights to the Impact this week.
