Kent haz mat crews air out downtown Post Office from chemical odor

A Kent hazardous materials team responded on Friday to a chemical odor at the downtown Kent U.S. Post Office on West Gowe Street. Crews aired out the building. Nobody was injured. The odor came from a nearby construction site.
A Kent hazardous materials team responded on Friday to a chemical odor at the downtown Kent U.S. Post Office on West Gowe Street. Crews aired out the building. Nobody was injured. The odor came from a nearby construction site.

Hazardous materials crews from the Kent Fire Department Regional Fire Authority aired out the downtown Kent U.S. Post Office early Friday afternoon after an investigation of a chemical odor.

Nobody was injured from the odor that came from a construction site next door, according to Kent fire officials. The Post Office is at 216 W. Gowe St.
