STP bicyclists to fill Kent streets on Saturday

Bicyclists will fill the streets of Kent and the rest of Western Washington during the Group Health Seattle to Portland Classic (STP) on Saturday, July 16.

A total of 10,000 cyclists will participate in the 200-plus mile ride, completing the journal in either one or two days.

Riders will travel through Kent westbound along South 196th Street and southbound on the West Valley Highway, with a food and rest stop available at the REI offices in Kent, 6750 S. 228th St.

The classic starts at 4:45 a.m. at the University of Washington in Seattle and finishes at Holladay Park in Portland.
