Kent Mayor Cooke to present 2017-18 budget to City Council

Kent Mayor Suzette Cooke will present her 2017-18 biennial budget to the City Council at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27 at City Hall, 220 Fourth Ave. S.

Following Cooke’s proposed budget presentation, the council will meet at 5:30 p.m. in a 90-minute workshop to discuss the budget with city Finance Director Aaron BeMiller. Staff and council will figure out a schedule for budget meeting discussions. The council will make its changes to Cooke’s proposal and adopt the budget in December.

Cooke’s presentation and the council workshop are open to the public.
