The Washington Carbon Emission Tax and Sales Tax Reduction, also known as Initiative 732, is on the Nov. 8 ballot as an initiative to the Legislature, a kind of indirect initiated state statute.

A yes vote supports imposing a carbon emission tax on the sale or use of certain fossil fuels and fossil-fuel-generated electricity.

A no vote opposes this proposal, keeping the tax structure unchanged.
