Stars roll out first-round playoff dates

The Tacoma Stars have announced their potential first-round playoff dates, should the club qualify for the 2016-17 Major Arena Soccer League postseason.
Postseason play for the Stars begins at home against the San Diego Sockers at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, March 9 at the ShoWare Center. The Pacific Division Championship Series would then move south to San Diego for the second leg at 5:05 p.m. Sunday, March 12.
Ticket information for the club’s home match on March 9 will be announced once the Stars’ berth in the postseason has been clinched.
The Stars can secure their playoff spot as early as this weekend under the following scenarios:
• Tacoma defeats the Chicago Mustangs, and the Ontario Fury lose one of their three weekend matches.
• Ontario loses two of their three weekend matches.
Tacoma hosts Chicago at the ShoWare Center this Friday with a first kick scheduled for 7:35 p.m. Tickets for the match are still available, and can be purchased by visiting tacomastars.com or calling 1-844-STARS-TIME.
