Kentlake reaches Hardwood Classic quarterfinals; Kentridge still alive | 4A girls basketball

Aniston Denckla scored 15 points as Kentlake defeated Camas 39-38 in a 4A state regional girls basketball playoff at Puyallup’s Rogers High School on Saturday.
Aolani Talamaivao-Calderon and Jada Leonard each had eight points for the Falcons.
Kentlake (23-4) advances to play in the Hardwood Classic quarterfinals at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Tacoma Dome. The Falcons will play the winner of the Kentridge-Todd Beamer game set for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, also in the Dome.
Kentridge (22-5) dropped a 65-57 decision at Moses Lake in a state regional playoff game Saturday.
The Chargers and Falcons – North Puget Sound League Cascade Division front-runners – split their four meetings this season.
