Kentwood golfers compete at state tourney

The Class 4A boys and girls high school golf championships began Tuesday and wrapped up Wednesday, after the Kent Reporter press deadline.

The girls played at MeadowWood Golf Course and the boys at Liberty Lake Golf Course. Both course are in Liberty Lake, east of Spokane.

Two Kentwood boys made the cut to play the second day of the tournament. Nathan Cogswell was seventh, shooting a 70, and Riley Ohashi was 38th, shooting 77.

For the girls, Kentwood’s Katelann Soth finished 10th on the first day, shooting 76, and Jocelyn Dacuag, also for the Conquerors, was 38th, shooting 82.
