Two men injured in shootout near Kent

Two men are in critical condition after they reportedly shot each other early Wednesday morning in the 26100 block of 78th Avenue South in unincorporated Kent.
It was an altercation between two men ages 29 and 30, according to a King County Sheriff’s Office Twitter post at about 9 a.m. Wednesday. They were each struck by gunfire multiple times. Paramedics transported both men in critical condition to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
It is unknown what led up to the shooting, according to the Sheriff’s Office. There are no other suspects in the case. The Sheriff’s Office major crimes unit responded to the scene to investigate the shooting.
