Kent Spotlight Series offers Taj Mahal livestream performance

The City of Kent Arts Commission and Kent Parks Spotlight Series has partnered with the legendary Taj Mahal to bring music fans access to his first livestream performance at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 17 from the UC Theatre stage in Berkeley, California.

Tickets are $20 and on sale at boxoffice.mandolin.com. A portion of each ticket sold benefits the Kent Parks Spotlight Series.

Mahal is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, multi-Grammy winner, multi-Blues Music Award winner, Blues Hall of Fame member and Americana Music Association’s Lifetime Achievement award recipient.

The city of Kent has cancelled its regular in person Spotlight Series at local high school performing arts center due to COVID-19.
