Frager Road South in Kent will be closed from the Old Fishing Hole parking lot to the State Route 516 underpass May 6 through Sept. 30.

The closure is required for construction of side channels to the Green River as part of the Downey Farmstead Restoration project, according to the city of Kent Public Works Department. The 22-acre site will be reshaped into a network of side channels which will enhance habitat for juvenile salmon and increase flood storage in the Green River.

Local access to the homes south of SR 516 will be permitted from West Valley Highway. Traffic control will be in place.
