Kent man suffers multiple gunshot wounds in East Hill shooting

A 26-year-old Kent man suffered multiple gunshot wounds during a shooting at about 11:42 a.m. Friday, April 24 in the 25000 block of 116th Avenue SE on the East Hill.
A 911 caller reported a man lying on their porch who appeared to be shot, according to an April 24 Kent Police news release.
Officers found the man with multiple gunshot wounds and initiated lifesaving efforts which were taken over by Puget Sound Fire and Medic One personnel, according to police. Medics stabilized the man so that he could be airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
As of 5 p.m. Friday, the man was in critical condition, according to a hospital spokesperson.
Kent Police detectives are actively investigating the incident to establish the sequence of events that resulted in the man being shot.
