One man shot and injured another man during a dispute at about 9:17 p.m. on Tuesday at the Rock Creek Apartments, 1024 Central Ave. N., in Kent.

Kent Police arrested a 25-year-old Kent man for investigation of first-degree assault, said spokeswoman Melanie Robinson, in an email. He reportedly shot a 23-year-old man outside the apartments near the C Building.

Paramedics transported the man to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Robinson said the man was in critical condition.

“Multiple shots were fired and hit the victim,” said Robinson, who did not have information about where the man lived. “It sounds like it may have been over a woman. The suspect is the female’s ex-boyfriend.”
