Kent Police ask additional witnesses of Shell station shooting to come forward

Kent Police are seeking additional witnesses to come forward in connection with the Aug. 20 shooting that killed two men at a Kent Shell station.
Kent Police are seeking additional witnesses to come forward in connection with the Aug. 20 shooting that killed two men at a Kent Shell station.

Kent Police detectives are still investigating the Aug. 20 Shell gas station shooting that resulted in the death of two employees.

Detectives believe that there are still unidentified witnesses who may have firsthand knowledge of this tragic event, according to a Thursday Kent Police media release.

Detectives are asking that anyone that may have witnessed anything prior, during, or after the shooting to contact the Kent Police on its tip line at 253-856-5808 or call 911.

King County prosecutors have charged Leland Russell with the shooting deaths. A second man and friend of Russell’s who was at the scene remains at large.
