The Kent Farmers Market opens Saturday for its 41st season of farm-grown food, local crafts and lively entertainment.

The market is open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Sept. 24 at Town Square Plaza, near Kent Station at the corner of Second Avenue North and Smith streets. It features vendors offering a variety of fresh locally grown farm-based foods, hand-crafted items and other attractions.

Volunteers with the Kent Lions Club and Foundation operate the market.
