Kent Reporter advertising staff takes WNPA awards

The Kent Reporter advertising staff won seven awards this year, including sweeping the Humor in Advertising division in the Washington Newspaper Publishers Association Better Newspaper Contest.

In the Most Effective Use of Small Space (B/W or Spot Color) the Reporter staff won first place for “Celebrate your well-trained dog!”

For Multiple Advertiser Ad, the staff won second for “Mother’s Day.”

In Humor in Advertising the staff won first for “Jeff Heiss Painting: Life is Short”, second for “Jeff Heiss Painting: Doing your own painting” and third for “Jeff Heiss Painting: Summers are for fun! (surfer).”

For Tourism/Community Guide Special Sections, the staff took first for the “Kent Residents’ Guide” and third for “Kent Cornucopia Days.”
