Gary Marlin Carlson, 78, of Enumclaw, WA died September 9, 2013.

Gary was born in Edmore, North Dakota November 13, 1934. Gary was the loving husband of 57 years to Irene Carlson and devoted father to Marlin and Mitch Carlson.

Gary was a 57 year resident of Washington State. He served in the Army. Gary retired in 1990 after 20 years at Northwest Aluminum Products. He was a private pilot and enjoyed flying, hunting and fishing, incorporating all three into numerous fishing and hunting trips to Alaska and British Columbia. Gary also loved going on camping trips with his family to Montana and many other great fishing destinations. He was a craftsman with the ability to build anything.

Gary is survived by his wife Irene, and two son’s Marlin Carlson of Enumclaw and Mitch Carlson of Auburn; his grandchildren Courtney Carlson, Garrett Carlson, Samantha Bellah and Britney Gerrald, one great grandchild, Danika Dodd; his brothers Verlane (Lillian) Carlson, Dennis (Judy) Johnson, Gary and Dale Myrand and one sister Jackie Johnson.

Gary was preceded in death by Ina Carlson, mother; Robert Myrand, father and George Johnson, step-father.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Danish Hall, 1708 Porter, Enumclaw.
