Money well spent for a safe piece of a curb

On June 2, I sent out an email to the Kent Mayor Suzette Cooke with a few photographs of the James Street, with a request (for the city) to build a sidewalk.
She responded within an hour, assuring that while they do not have enough money to install a complete sidewalk, they will build a 5-foot wide asphalt path with a modified curb by year’s end.
The new paved path was recently completed. Now I feel safe and enjoy walking daily on the new paved path.
Special recognition and thanks goes to Mayor Cooke and her staff who kept up with their promise.
Taxpayers dollars well spent, appreciate much.
