The Rotary Club of Kent recently honored outstanding students with its annual scholarship celebration at the new Lindbloom Student Union at Green River College in Auburn.

More than 300 people attended to honor the top 5 percent of graduating students from each of the seven Kent-area high schools.

The Rotary Club of Kent also awarded $22,000 in scholarships to 13 outstanding students.

Funds for the event were raised at the Rotary Club’s annual Escapades Auction at the ShoWare Center.
