A drive-thru flu shot clinic has been rescheduled to Saturday, Oct. 17 from Oct. 10 at the accesso ShoWare Center in Kent due to the thunderstorms and strong wind predicted.

Community members ages 4 and older can get a drive-thru flu shot at the ShoWare Center parking lot in Kent, 625 W. James St.

The shots are available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Children also can get vaccines for measles, whooping cough and other diseases as part of the back-to-school (once in-person learning returns) and flu clinics.

The Seattle Visiting Nurse Association will host the clinic along with the Kent School District and Public Health – Seattle & King County.

Who can participate: All King County children ages 4-18 can get vaccines required for K-12 school entry (including Tdap, DTaP, MMR, hepatitis B, varicella, and polio). All community members ages 4+ can get flu vaccine.

Registration process: No registration is required for childhood vaccines. Please be prepared for a possible wait during high traffic periods. If coming for flu vaccine only, please register in advance at schedule.seattlevna.com.

Cost: Childhood vaccines are available to all kids at no cost, no insurance required. If you’re just coming for flu vaccine, you’ll use your insurance at registration. If you don’t have insurance or your plan doesn’t cover flu vaccine, you can get vaccinated at no cost.

What to wear and bring: Please wear short sleeves and make sure everyone over age 2 wears a mask. If getting childhood vaccines, please bring your child’s vaccination records if available.

The group held the first drive-thru clinic on Oct. 7 at the ShoWare Center.
