School board was right to join lawsuit

Kudos to the KSD Board of Directors for making the decision to join other groups from all over the state in demanding clarity on funding for our schools.

I have two students at a Title 1 school in the district and the more I learn the more about school funding the more I am appalled at the way our state is underfunding our kids!

EVERY child in our state deserves a quality education and it takes money to do that.

Our community in Kent has again and again supported our kids with the approval of many bond and levy measures – it is time for the state to step up and fulfill its commitment to our kids. It is important that our state leaders see education as an investment in our future. These children are the future of our state we cannot afford to short-change them now.
