A sampling of Kent Police incidents July 22 to Aug. 6:

July 22

• City Hall complaints: Officers took a report regarding repeated phone calls made to the City’s Human Resources Department. The calls included various complaints focused on local leadership. No probable cause was established. The same individual later came to the police lobby, 220 Fourth Ave. S., and continued making similar statements.

July 24

• Sounder disturbance: Officers were dispatched to a report of a group of juveniles involved in a disturbance at the Sounder Station, 301 Railroad Ave. N. As officers arrived, the group ran but was eventually located and identified. The incident reportedly began on a bus and continued at the transit center. Metro staff declined to take over the investigation. The primary aggressor could not be determined on scene, and bus video is pending.

July 26

• Restaurant disturbance: Officers responded to a report that a group of juveniles at the transit center had taken a fire extinguisher from the Sounder garage and discharged it inside a local restaurant. This activated the business’s fire alarm. No injuries were reported. The juveniles left on a bus.

Aug. 1

• Card skimmers: Officers were dispatched to the Bank of America, 300 Fourth Ave. S., where staff had two card skimmers attached to their ATMs. King County Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) responded to process the skimmers and an associated camera.

Aug. 4

• Suspicious package: Officers responded to a report of a suspicious package at the state Department of Corrections office in the 1400 block of Central Avenue South. A taped box labeled “return to DOC” had been placed near the entrance. Video showed a known individual leaving the package. Port of Seattle bomb unit examined the package and rendered it safe, determining it contained a GPS ankle monitor and charger. Officers coordinated the evacuation of more than 100 people from surrounding businesses, and fire personnel assisted with relocating patients from the onsite clinic.

Aug. 5

• DUI arrest: officers working a DUI emphasis responded to a collision at 124th Avenue SE and SE Kent-Kangley Road. One driver left the scene on foot but was later located nearby. The individual was arrested for DUI, and a firearm was recovered in the area where the individual had been hiding.

Aug. 6

• Stolen vehicle: An officer observed a collision at Kent Des Moines Road and Meeker Street. A female exited one of the involved vehicles and left the area on foot. Officers located and detained her shortly afterward and determined the vehicle she had been driving was stolen. Officers assisted the driver of the other vehicle and completed the collision report.
