A new walk-in medical facility has come to Kent.

The Regional Medical Clinic at Kent opened its doors for business April 5, from office space at 6719 S. 211th St., Suite 102.

Operated through the Auburn Regional Medical Group and staffed by nurse practitioner Katie Amundson, the facility offers a full range of primary-care services, including illness and injury treatment, wellness exams and vaccinations, sports physicals, women’s health services and chronic-illness treatment, including depression, blood-pressure issues and thyroid problems.

The center also offers a full range of occupational-medicine services, including work-certification exams, physical and occupational rehabilitation, drug-screening services, DOT physical exams and workplace immunizations.

The facility had its grand opening April 19, complete with a ribbon cutting ceremony and speech Kent Mayor Suzette Cooke, and a gathering of the area’s top business movers and shakers, including Auburn Hospital Chief of Operations Robert Dickens and Andrea Keikkala, executive director of the Kent Chamber of Commerce.

The clinic has three exam rooms, and by July should have Xray services available as well.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
