Then sign up for the first “So You Think Kent Has Talent” competition organized by the Allegro Performing Arts Academy of Kent. Proceeds from the show will benefit Kent Youth and Family Services.

The preliminary qualification round is at 3 p.m. May 7 at the Allegro Performing Arts Academy, 1209 Central Ave. S.

The finals are at 6:30 p.m. May 21 at the Kent-Meridian High School Performing Arts Center, 10020 S.E. 256th St. Tickets are $10 for the finals.

The talent contest has three age categories:

The preliminary qualifications will narrow the contestants down to five acts per age division. Other cash prizes are as follows: First place in each age division earns $500, second place $250 and third place $100.

Judges for both the preliminary qualification and the final competition are leaders in the Kent community that are associated with the performing arts.

Winners of each age category and the Grand Prize winner will perform at Kent Cornucopia Days and participate in a float in the Kent Cornucopia Parade.
