The city of Kent’s annual Winterfest celebration is set for 2 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6 at Town Square Plaza, Second Avenue and West Smith Street.
The main features include a parade at 5 p.m. and tree lighting at 6 p.m. The event also includes music, food vendors El Ranchito and Swagg-n-Wagon Wings and Things, local vendors and community booths.
Santa will be available for photos from 5 to 7 p.m., so bring your camera. Children may drop off wish lists to Santa, include your mailing address or fill out a postcard on site.
Make your own Christmas ornaments from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Kent Library, ages 3 and up.
Maker’s Market on Meeker will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The market will feature items from downtown businesses Sweet Themes Bakery, Moore Than Rocks, Retro Emporium Kent and Sure Lock Escapes.
Winterfest is presented by Kent Parks, the Kent Lions Club and Kent Downtown Partnership.
