Kent digital solutions agency helps you increase your business’s online presence

Running a small business is tough. You can have the best shop front, the best product and the best service, but if you don’t have a reliable, easy-to-use web presence, you just might be missing out on a huge amount of custom — according the Kelsey Group: ConStat, 70 percent of households now use the internet when shopping locally for products!

For the big players, it’s pretty easy to have good web presence — with lots of capital you can have your own team working on just that part of running your business, but if you’re a small business owner, you are probably wearing several hats every day!

That’s where JLT Web Solutions comes in. Owner Jeff Thungc knows just what running a small business is like as a former restaurant owner.

“I was challenged with limited time to do marketing and customer acquisition while focusing on my core business, serving my customers,” he notes.

With a background in technology and the internet, he saw a need he could fill for other small business owners and so he developed JLT Web Solutions to help small business owners focus on their core business and not on dealing with technology.

Times change — and innovation brings solutions

When the pandemic hit, the need for a good, user-friendly digital presence only increased meaning that many small-businesses’ survival became dependant on online operations.

“Traditional marketing companies tend to omit small businesses, solopreneurs, and small non-profits. I saw a niche and I wanted to fill this gap,” Jeff says. “We are very passionate about helping small businesses thrive.”

One of the many things that has changed over the years is the need to make your website accessible — a law that has been in place since 2018 — and one that affects all businesses. This means that your website should be able to address a wide range of disabilities including hearing, cognitive and visual impairments. JLT Web Solutions can help you understand what your business needs to do to comply based on Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.

Doing things the right way for the right reasons

It’s a business model that works but for Jeff, it’s always been about more than just doing business. Jeff believes very strongly in supporting his community through philanthropy and community services — and that’s got JLT Web Solutions noticed for more than their great services.

In 2022, JLT Web Solutions won the Better Business Bureau’s Luminare Award for Service. Jeff notes that it was an honor just to be nominated and that at “JLT Web Solutions, we believe community and business are interconnected and inseparable,” a philosophy that directly reflects the BBB criteria for nominees who must show that they prioritize philanthropy and demonstrate qualities of compassion, volunteerism, and community leadership.

Among the many honors JLT Web Solutions has earned over the last two years is being one of four finalists for the BBB Torch Awards for Ethics. Image contributed.

It’s not the first award JLT Web Solutions have won awards. In 2021 and 2022 Jeff won Local Businessperson, and was awarded the Local Main Street Mentor of 2021 by the local business community of Alignable and JLT Web Solutions also won the 2022 Community Supporter award. Along with the BBB’s Luminare Award win in 2022, they were also one of four finalists for the BBB’s Torch Award.

For Jeff, it’s always been about helping other work better — whether as a small business owner, or improving the community that we all share.
