Live Fully. Age Fearlessly

What if aging wasn’t the end of the adventure for Puget Sound seniors – but the beginning?

What does it mean to age fearlessly?

It starts with believing that life doesn’t slow down with age – it opens up with days full of possibilities.

That’s the spirit behind GenCare Lifestyle’s 2025 summer event series: Live Fully. Age Fearlessly.

Across their six vibrant senior living communities in the Puget Sound region, the GenCare team is flipping the script on aging. Far more than a slogan, it’s a lifestyle, a mindset and a movement, supported by four key pillars at the heart of their Whole Life Living program:

  • Eat Better.
  • Move Better (Move More).
  • Think Better.
  • Live Better (Engage Socially. Live with Purpose).

Why Fearless Aging?

Quite simply, because aging gets a bad rap, says Leon Grundstein, Founder and CEO of GenCare Lifestyle.

Too often, it’s framed as a time of decline, limitation and disconnection, yet GenCare residents and team members believe in rewriting that narrative. Through immersive experiences, whole-person wellness and meaningful connections, we’re showing older adults – and their families – that aging can be bold, empowering and joyful.

“We’re not just creating places to live. We’re creating spaces to thrive – full of laughter, purpose and community,” Grundstein says.

A summer of purpose-driven fun

This summer, a full lineup of experiences will share what fearless aging looks like – up close and personal! Here’s a look at what’s planned:

Camp GenCare: A Summer Celebration for All Generations

Saturday, July 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Multigenerational magic happens at Camp GenCare. Bring the grandkids, bring the laughter and get ready to rediscover your playful spirit with:

  • Outdoor games and old-school crafts
  • Live music and local food
  • Storytelling from residents and their families
  • Community tours and giveaways

“Camp GenCare creates the kind of joy and connection that makes people say: I want to live here,” says Danielle Parker, COO, GenCare Lifestyle.

Summer Social Sampler: Sip, Sample & Socialize

Thursday, Aug. 7 or 21, from 3 to 4 p.m. – These fun, happy hour-style mixers invite you to connect with residents, try something new and experience GenCare’s vibrant lifestyle in action. Light bites. Laughter. No pressure – just good energy.

Fearless Aging: Lunch & Learn Speaker Series

Wednesday, Sept. 10 or 24, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. – Real conversations, and real insights, this isn’t just education, it’s empowerment. Led by wellness experts, aging advocates and GenCare residents themselves, topics include:

  • Your Plate Has Power: Eat for Energy, Immunity & Longevity
  • Ask GenCare: Resident & Family Panel on socialization vs. isolation

From sharing experiences with the grandkids to learning something new to sharing a laugh with a neighbor, aging well is about imagining our future a little differently – with more joy, more vitality, more community. Because fearless aging isn’t about avoiding change – it’s about embracing it.
