Up to four lanes of southbound Interstate 5 in Kent will close nightly Jan. 14-16 between State Route 516 (exit 149) and South 272nd Street (exit 147).
The closures will start at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14 through 4 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 15 and the same hours Thursday night into Friday morning, Jan. 16, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).
The closures will allow crews to pave and stripe the roadway, according to WSDOT. The work is weather dependent and may be canceled in the event of rain.
The work is part of the SR 509 extension project.
