Elijah J. Oceguera Bestgen fatally shot Feb. 7 in wooded area along Lake Fenwick Road South

A 24-year-old Kent man, found fatally shot Feb. 7 in a wooded area along Lake Fenwick Road South, has been identified as Elijah J. Oceguera Bestgen.

Oceguera Bestgen died of a gunshot wound of head, according to the Feb. 10 King County Medical Examiner’s Office report, which ruled the death a homicide. This was the first homicide of 2025 in Kent.
