King County voters will receive ballots this week for the April 22 Special Election.

King County voters will receive ballots this week for the April 22 Special Election.

King County Elections will mail ballots Wednesday, April 2 for the April 22 Special Election.

Since the ballot includes a countywide measure to raise vehicle license fees and the sales tax to support Metro Transit and roads, all voters will receive a ballot and a voters’ pamphlet, which will be mailed separately. All voters will receive the same voters’ pamphlet.

Voters should return ballots as early as possible, but not later than election day, April 22. Voters returning ballots by mail need to affix first class postage. Ballots must be postmarked by April 22.

Voters have many options for returning their ballot, including drop boxes and vans. Ten drop boxes are open 24 hours/day starting April 3 until 8 p.m. on election day.

King County Elections estimates a 38 percent turnout for the election.

Voters who do not receive a ballot by April 8 or who have questions should call the King County Elections voter information line at 206-296-VOTE (8683).
