Renton man identified in Kent fatal shooting at apartment complex

No arrest yet in Feb. 11 killing

A 26-year-old Renton man fatally shot Feb. 11 in Kent has been identified as Ronald A. Cruz Alvarado.

Alvarado died from a gunshot wound to the head and the manner of death is homicide, according to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Kent Police responded to a 911 call about a shooting at the Phoenix Court Apartments in the 23900 block of 111th Place SE, according to Kent Police. Officers found Alvarado lying dead in the parking lot.

As of Feb. 17, no arrest has been made as detectives work the case.

Kent has had three homicides so far in 2023.
