Daniel Cochran, a U.S. Navy Strike Fighter Squadron commanding officer from Kent, greets his family as he returns to Naval Air Facility Atsugi, Japan, from a patrol embarked aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan last week.

Ronald Reagan and its embarked air wing, Carrier Air Wing 5, provide a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of the U.S. and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific theater.
