A 29-year-old man died from a gunshot wound in Auburn on Sept. 10.
According to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, Mohamed Othman, 29, died as a result of a single gunshot wound to the torso. The medical examiner’s office identified Othman’s death as a homicide.
Auburn Police were dispatched to a call on Sept. 10 shortly after 7 a.m. at the intersection of 116th Avenue Southeast and Southeast 320th Street, according to Kolby Crossley, public information officer for the Auburn Police Department. The reporting party advised they heard a single gunshot in the area.
Upon arrival at the scene, police discovered a man with at least one gunshot wound, sitting behind the wheel of a vehicle, according to Crossley. First responders arrived at the scene and pronounced the man in the driver’s seat dead.
The department notified Auburn Police Department detectives to respond to the scene for further investigation of the homicide, according to Crossley.
The department identified a bullet and shell casing as evidence in the incident, according to the department’s public information log.
Law enforcement have not identified any suspects as of Sept. 12, according to Crossley.
